Nonmirror Zak Mandrake was never quite the same after his lover Alice had him unconventionally resurrected from the dead. In Chakai, he was checked into a mental asylum where he obsessed over a statuette he had seen, injuring himself in the hopes that the pain would help him remember it.

Rain and Howl discovered that Zak had the Sight, a power they shared that opened their eyes to the Eldritch realities of the world. They located the statuette and brought it to him, and he promptly used it to open a portal to another dimension and hop inside.

Nonmirror Zak was last seen being carried off by Eldritch abominations before the portal closed behind him.
