Manufacturers in Bright Future provide variety to equipment, ranging from -1 to +2’s explained through means of manufacturing, design, quality of materials, and other factors. Some Manufacturers can also provide sub options, that get expressed as daily or resource driven abilities. Not all manufacturers make all types of equipment, and when selecting equipment, if no manufacturer is selected, then the item is made by Mako Manufacturing.

Public Image: Janis provides Tele-Scribers and Scryer-feeds for them, they’re a mixture of news, entertainment, and manufacturing.

Mengyao Magi-Tech, Magical Technologies

Public Image: Mengyao provides a wide range of magical technologies for domestic and office usage. They cornered the high end of the market. They’re responsible for most of the Residuum engines that end up in Automobiles.

Monban Magi-Tech, Magical Technologies

Public Image: Monban is a Magi-Tech focused manufacturer of Scribers and Looms, they focus on hardware and software, and a lot of their Programs can be purchased at their shops. They’re beloved by the hacker comunity for leaving their systems open and refusing to place write restrictions on their Looms, the company’s PR representative testified that without this ability only the Loom that wrote the Program would ever be able to modify or fix it, ruining a lot of their clients businesses. While some of those clients might be hackers, the majority are blue collar workers who use the Looms to maintain, install, and repair Magi-Tech systems all around the world.

Pro-tech, Security Professional Self Defense

Public Image: Pro-Tech is viewed as the provider of weapons and armor to Mercenary and security professional groups. They’re the best of the best, when you see egg-shell white and dark grey, you know Pro-Tech is at work.

Chakai Army Standard, The Armorers of Chakai’s Freedom

Public Image: The governmental funded producer of military goods, they’re seen as high quality goods that are off limits to civilians, restricted to military, police, and the black market. They’re mass produces and thus easy to get your hands on if you don’t mind the less than legal method.

Public Image: Archer provides accurate weapons for use in target competitions. They tend to be the primary producer of Ammunition for personal use in Chakai.

Public Image: Mako is the largest producer in Chakai, providing most of the equipment, gear, and home decor for the nation. They’ve garnered a lot of good will by providing so many jobs, raising those from Squalid and Poor salaries to Modest salary. They’ve had their public blunders and recalls, but nothing negative has ever permanently stuck to Mako.

Volks Guard, Defense for Everyone

Public Image: Low quality producers of firearms and armor, they’re usually sought after when someone wants a means of self defense more for intimidation than actual stopping power. A lot of their products have showed up in the hands of low level Triads or Dragons, there’s a large market in Kowloon for them, as the walled city is known for it’s violence.

Dawson Augmented Incorporated (DAI)

Public Image: Dawson Augmented was started with a simple motto, “Augmentations from the Augmented” and they’ve continued to live up to that through discrimination and hate crimes. Dawson is an Augmented only workforce, from concept to creation. The idea was simple, who knows augmentations better than those who use them? The PR problem is their strict Augmented only workforce policy, it’s seen as discrimination and fuels the conspiracy theories that Dawson is producing illegal augmentations in an attempt to make a play for power at some future date.

Public Image: SYMPathy is a bio-medical corporation stretching from drugs to augmentation.

Kassia Reintegration and Cosmetics (KRC)

Public Image: Kassia is named after it’s founder Kassia Kane, an eccentric elven daughter of a wealthy business woman Edna Kane who made her fortune selling weapons and augmentations when the Skaajan were attacking. Kassia, both person and company are obsessed with beauty and skin-deep impressions, as a result their augmentations are second to none in realism, they don’t even produce mechanical augs. For those who need augmentations but don’t want to social stigma behind being chromed up, Kassia is the answer. As a result, Kassia has become the face for the augmented who don’t want to be augmented, as her product is all about discretion and blending in. Pro-Augmentation groups see Kassia as a problem, for both trying to hide and ignore their struggle as well as adding to the problem, producing nearly undetectable augmentations that have been used in terror attacks the world round. Anti-Augmentation activists believe Kassia is a covert ops manufacturer using the focus on beauty as a cover for creating the best stealth augs and be able to sell them on the open market for profit and to provide cover for covert agents.

Design: All their augmentations are works of art, down to blood flowing through veins. More human than human.
Effect: Augmentations can only be detected with medical examination. Kassia insulates their Augmentations against magic, so detection and control magic won’t work on Kassia products. Even injuries look convincing to an in-depth look.

Rational Medical (Rational Rx)

Public Image: Rational is the definition of big Pharma, mass producing medication for public consumption. Outside of greed and bad production batches, causing bad reactions in patience, Rational seems completely above board aside from their raised security. But people like to fill in the cracks of knowledge with speculation, as a result Rational is constantly fighting against corporate espionage and rogue reporters. The influx of security, only adds fuel to the fire, leaving the curious asking why they need such security measures.

Damocles Armaments

Public Image: Damocles in unabashedly a weapons company pushing not for the latest and greatest, but for quality across all their work. Having won Noxian and Chakain military contracts in the past, Damocles (Tornado Warning, back later :3 )

Augmentations
Cost: 2.0x
Limitation: All Damocles Augmentations require the Military Hardening.
Design: Black and dark red aesthetic, sculpted musculature, maintains the shape of an arm but with rougher textures, clearly mechanical.
Effect: Arms gain an additional ability score increase of 1 to Strength or Dexterity, select when purchasing the arms. Legs gain an additional Strength score increase of 1 or enhance movement speed by 5 feet.

Quick Aeronautics

Public Image: Originally started as an Airline, Quick Aeronautics transitioned to repair and manufacturing during the course of the Skaajan invasion, their expertise required and guiding them into a new field of business. They’ve been viewed as public heroes in Chakai since their involvement in Chakai originally gaining it’s independence. The family has stayed in the Aeronautics business since then, and still provide some of the fastest while still being reasonabably priced form of air travel.

Design: Flights are designed for basic comforts and safety. All flight provide food for trips over 5 hours long.
Effect: Defaults, but you can only get Short Rests on these flights.
Air Travel Express
Cost: 3.0x
Design: Flights are designed for speed, bare bone necessities but designed for safety.
Effect: Reduce travel time by 50%, you can only get Short Rests on these flights if you manage a Constitution Save DC 15, you can try once per day.
Airships
Cost: 1.0x
Design: Clean silver metal hulls, clear slightly blue tinted glass, black propellers or jets.

Ohm Dynamics

Public Image: Lady Victoria Ohm is responsible for the design of the first Dynamo, and started basic work on discovering electric field theory. The Skaajan put a lot of research on the back burner, but her notes and experimentation lead to the creation of the first electric engines and pushed society towards generalized use of electricity. Responsible for the incandescent light bulb, Ohm Dynamics is still the front of research for electronics and automotive advancements. The company has it’s fingers in Magi-Tech, but tend to send house hold items to fund other research.
