Tele-Scriber: Approaching the Scriber you notice a ring on the night stand next to it, clearly yours. The piece solid piece of marbled black and gray granite has imagery and text on it. The text hovering near the top of it reads, ‘Tele-Scriber, Janis Magi-Comm’ below it a blue lock icon and ‘Manager Soto Solomon’ written below the lock. Simply touching it shows the lock, unlocking and the screen opens up with options: Personal Contacts, Work Contacts, Work Notes, Calendar, Scryer-Feeds, Scribe-Chain (Keys), Weather, Navigation, Images. Today’s Saturday, on Thursday in the evening there’s an event titled ‘Bachelorette party’, and the entire afternoon and evening on Friday is marked by one big event, ‘Aschendale Wedding’. Tomorrow there’s a single event in the morning, ‘Yunshi visit with Doctor Chung-Song, 11:00am, Harmony Medical Center, Asa no Hikari Prefecture.’. The next week is just as filled as the week before, every day dense with short meetings and reminders.

Images: A cascade of personal photos, times you can’t remember with Yunshi, happy times. It all feels alien, but you almost want it to be familiar, the two of you are clearly happy together. The clock spins backwards as the images continue to fall. Married life, images of apartments you visited, random images of damages, images of Yunshi dress up for a fancy dinner date. Work photos, subordinates, team building exercises, co-workers, proud and happy. Next a stream of wedding photos, a beautiful ceremony, two Lizardfolk wed, happy guests include all you’ve traveled with looking similar but dressed different. The images start to run slow when it hits your time dating Yunshi in the city and in Orion, seems you met her on a business trip to Orion, you visited her, she visited you, and eventually there wasn’t a need to visit another country to see one another. Finally a few images remain, friends familiar and new scroll by, one of yourself at the end, staring at the viewer slightly confused, trying to figure the damned thing out. There was a whole other life in those images.

There’s an option to check previous events. The most recent event was yesterday and is simply titled ‘Wedding’. Then your eyes catch the date, Harvest 8th, 3007 CE.

Images: A selection of images separated by months and year appear, the there’s a lot of recent images, clearly someone else was taking them, as you’re in over half of them. A dizzying array of wedding photos, documenting a day you don’t remember. The regular party’s there, dressed in formal attire, but you and Naicelle are the real stand outs. It was a smaller ceremony, no more than twenty people present for it, most of them you already recognize. The next set of images are from the night before the wedding, looks like Naicelle, Jex, Soto, Yunshi, and you were all present. Looks like a bar or restaurant, not to different from the Mango Club. One image sticks out, all present close together, your hand reaching out towards the side of the image, everyone looks happy. The images get less frequent as you go back, mixing personal life with work, crime scenes flash by, pictures of strange people standing against a wall, then a few images earlier the same people’s image taken from distant or odd angles around town. Scenes and stories start piecing together, this man sold guns to a gang, this woman peddled drugs, some of the people are killers, others just breaking the law. Interspersed in the work pictures are the occasional image of Naicelle, from a date or while on duty. She wears a blue vest in one of the images, the words ‘Kueiloon Patrol Officer, Naicelle Sharpquill’ printed in white on the vest, the hilt of a weapon visible, slung horizontal across her back, and a pistol in a hip holster at her side. She’s giving you a proud smile, holding a helmet in her hands, behind her a dark green wall, painting hanging along it, the date given is December 14th, 2998 CE. More images dating further back, a promotion to detective, a ceremony, images of days as a patrol officer, pictures of Jex, Bahresh, Ivan, Innr, and Soto, Jex and Innr least common among the group, Bahresh and Ivan second to that, all far younger than you, most in their teens. A single picture solidifies it, there’s Kase in full Kinsmir form standing next to you, in front stands Bahresh, Soto, Innr, and Jex, behind everyone the Kinsmir Grand Temple Orphanage, seems you spent a good amount of time volunteering there, perhaps your parents work there, in this new life. Although it’s odd Ivan isn’t in the picture. There’s a lot of pictures of Kase growing up, it seems you were a big sister to her, it’s surprisingly captivating to see her de-age through the images, but both of you remain quite happy; and then you have a few pictures of yourself, your parents, and an extremely young Kinsmir you assume is Kase, being held by a priestess in white, The little pup’s wings are under developed, looking almost more like a fox than a person, a scribbled note on the image, “December 1st, 2935 CE, Kase, one year old, joins the temple.”. You find your police academy graduation from 2925, you were eighteen, it looks like quiet the large event, plenty of others in front and behind you, you accepting your diploma, you look nervous and uneasy in most of the pictures. The last image, the very first taken, is from the Kinsmir Grand Temple Orphanage, 2920, a group photograph where you can see yourself and a very young Naicelle, both your parents, as well as a hand full of other people you don’t recognize, most with the dark skin most Chakains have, most human, most likely already gone. The strangest feeling is that you’re in all these photographs, but you don’t remember a single one of them.

Case Files: Two Active cases: Death of Brant Northwind. Active Detective Gilly Aschendale. Notes: Victim was found dead in their room at the Tsuriku Hotel, room 324. Forensics found traces of Nightshade in his system and confirm that as the cause of death. Body was then mutilated, arcane runes carved into the skin, laid on his bed with arms wide to draw attention to the carvings. The Magic division is translating and running a Weave trace on the caster, said it’d be a late wedding gift to help crack this case open. It’s likely the work of the Agents of Fate, Naicelle’s history with them proved useful once again, paid to send a message for the Triads to those in the area, stand against the Triads and you end up dead. On a personal note, it unfortunately seems the courts won’t let Naicelle’s past go, she’s already been involved as an expert witness in forty nine cases over the past fifteen years since she made her amnesty deal. She joined the force twelve years ago and we met about two years after she joined the force. The truth of the situation is that the AoF has likely already marked Naicelle for death but she’s low on their list, but the courts want to keep using her until the AoF decides to take her out. I’m not sure if we dated for ten years because I was worried I’d wake up one day to the new’s that she was murdered one morning, or if we just needed the time to actually get to know each other, the force doesn’t exactly give people a lot of free time.
Missing Person, Jex Aetheron. Active Detective: Fox Mason. Notes: Gilly, I know you have a personal stake in this case, but the department wants someone without that level of attachment involved. You know you can trust me with this, I’ll keep you in the know and give you access to the case file, if you think of anything let me know, -Fox. Jex Aetheron was last seen three days ago by Elisa Fortune, the person who reported him missing. Apartment was canvassed, animal foot and claw prints were found and cataloged (An image or a giant paw print, and a few images of claw marks on apartment walls, a smashed Baby Grand Piano, and a king sized bed reduced to a blood caked scratching post.) Blood found at the scene was used by the MIU (Magi Investigation Unit) was used in a tracking spell, however the trail kept moving along the roof tops. It’s believed that Jex Aetheron is still alive, and has either been kidnapped or has contracted Lycanthropy. We’re still left with speculation, no hard evidence has been found and Elisa Fortune provided what she knows, which sadly is very little, the two of them last met for an anniversary date, Jex had rented out the entire balcony section of Jimmie Changs, a local fine dining establishment in Asa no Hikari. Elisa noted nothing out of the ordinary about Jex at the time, and the two spent the night at Mr Aetherons penthouse apartment, going their separate ways in the morning after coffee. We still need a Magi-Tech expect to crack Mr. Aetherons safe, but with his house on lock down it’s only a matter of time before we can get an expert down there.

Images: A cascade of images scroll across the arm, adding to the surreal feeling flooding over you as you watch the life Jex never lived retold through still images. Most recently a stream of photos from the Aschendale wedding, very relaxed, catching people in candid moments. Including one you find to be a bit of a rarity as you see more images, Innr and Lilith together in the same image. The next set of images are mostly of Jex and Elisa, dining, sight seeing, and apparently sky diving, looks like you insisted on flying the plane, and then passing the stick when it was time to jump. Beautiful vistas, hiking in the mountains, vast deserts, wild forests, they’re all grouped together, and you piece together these were trips from just the last year alone, looks like Jex met Elisa abroad in Orion a little less than a year ago. Before that there are a few images from work, you watch in reverse how Jex made a few million from his own personal earnings. There are only a few before that, of the Kinsmir Grand Temple, a picture with Kase and Gilly standing behind Jex, Innr, Bahresh, and Soto. Jex didn’t seem to into photography until he traveled and met Elisa, then it kind of exploded. You could spend the next month viewing all the images and notes Jex took while traveling alone or with Elisa.

There are a few pictures that are linked with your contacts, one for each of them, rather professionally framed. There’s a hand full of venues you visited, locations all over Chakai, Kana, Nox, Orion, the Thirteen Kingdoms, and even a few rare ones in larger settlements in the Wild Lands. All of them worthy of being hung on a wall in an art museum.

Recordings: A collection of half finished songs and professionally mastered music is at your fingertips, all of it apparently yours.

Scryer-Feed (News): It doesn’t take much time to find you’ve got news pertaining to your own exploits defaulted in your search. Recent performances, sold out venues, rave reviews, it seems you’re quite popular. Interviews with Lilith, who seems to act as your Agent, booking performances, dealing with public relations, and pushing your brand. A quick skim reveals that your brand happens to be a relatively new style of music, dark lyrics, heavy magical distortion, yet melodic instead of heavy metal. Apparently having a devil for an agent really helps sell your brand.

Calendar: Aside from a recent appointment “Aschendale Wedding Performance”, the calendar is spotted with Performances, locations all over Chakai, a short tour to the Thirteen Kingdoms coming up in two weeks.

Scriber-Pay: An account sheet appears, with a little work you figure out that you’re making roughly $400,000 a month (Wealthy), $78,000 happily sits in your accounts, automated payments set up for your Apartment, a personal chef, maintenance professional, and a personal driver.

Ivan & Kase

Lockers: A few of the pictures have hand written notes on them, it must be Kases hand writing because it’s not Ivans. A picture of Kase smiling, Ivan must have been the photographer, “Fly safe Web, waiting for you to come back.” The Next a picture of both Ivan and and Kase, a selfie, text on the back, “First date, so you don’t forget. 24th of Hearth 3006.” A scantly clad photo of her simply has written, “In case you get lonely out there.” Pulling your eyes away you find a few other pictures, a number of group pictures, you seem to be an instructor, and there are five to seven teenage individuals around you, each holding a psi-blade, the note written on them range from, Class of 3003 to class of 3007. In the background of each image you can see the Cornerstone of the Kinsmir temple.

Images: The most recent is the Image of Gilly in her wedding dress you saw when the Tele-Scriber woke you up. Then the are a lot of pictures of you and Kase, she looks human for every photo taken in public, and there are the rare few of her in her natural form they’re all taken from in two different rooms, one the very room you’re spending time in now, and the other from a more formally put together room, white stone walls that have been made surprisingly homey with some curtains and warm light. A set of imagines where you see teenagers training, psi-blades in use, under construction. Shots of the kids out in the city using their abilities. A particular image stands out, a freaked out cat being removed from a tree with telekinesis. Interspersed through out the images are pictures of the Airship crew, Bahresh, Petra, and yourself, one taken every other month at the same bar by the look of it, going back three years.

Images: Images appear, they start sliding down the Scriber. Images of the crew, meeting for drinks in a bar, some of you and Petra, a candid image of her stands out. It looks like a dinner, she’s dressed up, looking to her left, seemingly lost in thought. Other images continue down, time spent together, shooting range targets. As the images continue they change to images of locations, Chakai at a distance, the Noxian University as seen from the sea, Greymouth from above. Images of damage or broken parts on the ship. Then there’s your pilot’s License and Petra’s mechanics certification from Tsang Technical University, Asa no Hikari Prefecture. Bahresh’s history at Tsang Technical, tests, studying, and dates with Petra. Images from dormitories, four beds, stacked two and two, two desks, and a chest of drawers. You find the first image you took, it also happens to be the first of Petra and Bahresh, seems the two bumped into each other at the Temple of Bahamut, when both were in their early teens. It’s been modified, Petra has written on the picture, “Good luck with entry exams fly boy, -gear girl.”
