HB Class BF Soldier
Soldier
From members of the armed forces, to money hungry mercenaries, to dedicated police officers. The soldier class is trained and focused on combat.

Class Features
As a Soldier, you gain the following class features.
Hit Points
Hit Dice: 1d10 per Soldier level.
Hit Points at 1st Level: 10 + your Constitution modifier.
Hit Points at Higher Levels: 1d10 (or 6) + your Constitution modifier per Soldier level after 1st.
Proficiencies
Armor: Light armor, medium armor, shields.
Weapons: Simple weapons, Martial weapons, Personal Firearms, and select two non-exotic weapons.
Tools: None.
Saving Throws: Strength, Dexterity
Skills: Choose One from Animal Handling, Athletics, History, Perception, and Stealth.
Equipment
You start with the following equipment, in addition to the equipment granted by your background:
* (a) A Martial Weapon or (b) a Personal Firearm
* Light Patrol Vest, ten military fatigues.
Multi-Classing
Pre-Requisites: Str 13 or Dex 13.
Benefits: Light Armor, Medium Armor, and Martial Weapons or Personal Firearms proficiency
Weapon Specialty
The soldier’s experience with a weapon starts to show over time, their skill and accuracy with a selected weapon starts to show. The Soldier selects a specific weapon to become a specialty weapon, such as a Lancer Pistol or Long Sword. You must be proficient in the weapon. You double proficiency to attack rolls when using your specialty weapon. You add proficiency bonus to all damage rolls when using your specialty weapon.
Special Operations
At 2nd level, the Soldier selects a Specialization found at the end of the class. Squad Leader (Leadership), Ranger (Ambush Experts), Special Weapons and Tactics, Weapon Expert (Single Weapon Focus).
Compartmentalize (Detachment)
At 3rd level, the Soldier learns to compartmentalize their life. Sometimes taking a life is necessary, sometimes innocents die, and a soldier needs to stay focused and stay on mission when things go south. The horrors of the world wear on the their mind, but holding on to some hope gives them a reason to continue. The Soldier gains advantage on Charisma (Stability: Detachment) saves.
Overwatch
At 3rd level, the Soldier has learned to keep a keen eye out for opportunistic moments to attack. As an action the soldier enters Overwatch and loses their reaction, they may make attacks against targets who is not disengaging that enters or starts moving within their weapons first range increment. The Soldier is limited to their Proficiency Bonus worth of attacks, and may only attack a single target once a round.
Extra Attack
Beginning at 5th level, the soldier can attack twice, instead of once, whenever they take the Attack action on their turn.
Specializations
Squad Leader
The Squad Leader specialist is well versed in tactics and carries a commanding presence. From a mercenary band leader to the head of an elite commando unit, squad leaders are the front line commanders that enhance their squads abilities.
Ready and Waiting
At 2nd level, the Soldier can choose to gain proficiency in Intimidate or persuasion.
Fire Orders
At 2nd level, the Soldier gains the ability to spend their action directing an allies attack at a tactical weakness. Spend an attack action to allow an ally with in 30 feet to use their reaction to make a single attack with advantage. When you get multiple attacks, this allows you to pick two separate allies to make attacks at advantage.
Commanding Presence
At 5th level, the Soldier can spend a bonus action to allow an ally Charisma modifier worth of allies, minimum one, to reroll a failed Attribute check, Skill check or Save before the start of the Soldiers next turn. This can be used once per short rest.
Ranger
Ranger can be snipers who are use to spending weeks in the field waiting for a single shot, and they make that shot count. In urban situations the ranger blends in, striking from the shadows. a good ranger can eliminate fire-teams and squads of enemies with ease if they remain undetected.
Shadow
At 2nd level, the Soldier gains proficiency in Stealth, if they’re already proficient in Stealth, gain Expertise in stealth, Add proficiency bonus twice.
Ambush
At 2nd level, the Soldier is extremely deadly when they catch their enemies off guard. Soldiers have advantage on attack roles against any creature that hasn’t taken a turn in combat yet. In addition, any hit you score against a creature that is surprised is a critical hit.
Vital Strike
At 5th level, the Soldier adds an additional weapon die of damage to all weapon attacks they are not at disadvantage for. For clarification, weapons that would deal 2d6 now deal 3d6, not 4d6, as you only add a single die of damage.
Special Weapons and Tactics
SWAT certification refers to special weapons and tactics, usually reserved for police forces, the description fits any time unusual weapons and tactics are called for.
Extra Training
At 2nd level, the Soldier gains proficiency in Heavy Armor, Advanced Firearms, may select proficiency with two exotic weapons, and gains proficiency in one vehicle of their choice.
Suppressing Fire
At 2nd level, the Soldier can expend 5 rounds of ammunition, to imposes disadvantage on all attacks a target takes on their next turn. The Soldier may also use their reaction to attack the target if the target tries to move during their next turn, Although attack at disadvantage if they use disengage.
Nerves of Steel
At 5th level, the Soldier gains advantage on any attacks during a reaction or any attacks made during Overwatch.
Rapid Reaction
At 5th level, the Soldier gains a second reaction. This can be used for complex Readied actions, allowing for two actions to be planned, each with the same or their own condition. Example: If that thug gets with in 30 feet of me, I’m going to take an attack against them. If the Thug gets with in 10 feet of me, I’m going to move 30 feet and behind cover.
Weapons Expert
Dedicating most of their time to a small set of weapon, the Soldier becomes an expert in the operation of those weapons.
Extra Weapon Specialty
At 2nd level, the Soldier selects one more weapon to gain the Weapon Specialty class feature with.
Improved Critical
At 2nd level, the Soldier improves their chance of scoring a critical hit with weapons they’ve specialized in. The Soldier now scores a critical hit with a specialty weapon on an attack roll of 19 or 20.
Lethal Strike
At 5th level, the Soldier can impose – 5 to hit on an attack to gain a + 10 to damage.
