Voice of Orion (VoO): “Top of the hour in Orion, and the wire connections in Orion have all been repaired. It’s been almost two weeks since the snows crept from the Northern Region all the way to the southern boarder with the ruins of Stahlwacht. I’ll be bringing you all the news that you’ve missed over the past few weeks. Tonight I’m honored to be joined by her Majesty Queen Kaime Stormdancer of Orion.”
Kaime: “It’s my pleasure, I’m glad you could join me here today. Please call me Kaime.”
VoO: “Very well, Kaime the nation was recently hit by a snow storm that will likely be spoken of for years to come. Everywhere from Elkvine to Phobos saw snow in the middle of summer, people have placed responsibility everywhere from the gods to the alignment of the stars. How should we move forwards now that this years crops have died?”
Kaime: “I’m glad you’re not scared to ask the questions of the people. The snow is receding, the land will thaw, and we will replant. I’ve been speaking with Fellis and we’ve come to an agreement that the Crown will cover the costs of the magic needed to recover the crops. I’ve started talks with Kana and Chakai to import food in case our measures don’t provide us with enough. I’m not going to shy away from the fact this event has taken its toll on Orion, but as we have before we will rise to the challenge.”
VoO: “Any input on where the snows came from?”
Kaime: “Unfortunately no, I’ve heard a lot of theories but as of yet I haven’t seen any evidence to support them. I believe we should be slow to lay blame on the gods, even Zotol who is known for storms shouldn’t be blamed. The Pantheon has sided with us in the past, and it would be a mistake to lay blame on them so quickly.”
VoO: “You spoke of Kana and Chakai, I’ve heard they’re dealing with their own disasters. Kana has been covered with negative energies, although nothing has come of it yet. Chakai on the other hand is suffering from an endless storm of rolling thunder. I’ve also heard that the Wild Lands is suffering volcanic activity, meteors falling from the sky and lava flowing over the countryside. The Thirteen Kingdoms has been covered with intense lightning storms, powerful enough to glass parts of the desert. Nox seems to has suffered the worst, disease spreading cross the lands.”
Kaime: “We hope to be able to work together with The Thirteen Kingdoms, along with Chakai and Kana if they’ll accept our help. Together we may find these events are linked as some people suspect, and learn why they happened as well as what we can do as nations to protect ourselves from these things. First we need to ensure we’re capable of standing on our own, but we can’t refuse to offer help while we recover either.”
VoO: “Thank you Kaime for laying out Orion’s plan for moving forwards. I hope I have the chance to have you on in the future.”
Kaime: “Again thank you for having me, I’m happy to be able to speak to the people of Orion directly.”

VoO: “Continuing with coverage of Orion’s recovery, the Thunder Chaser Tournament has been pushed back to ensure each region can hold their regional tournament. Stay tuned in the days to come to hear the official date for the Thunder Chasers Orion National Tournament hosted here at Orion Castle. I’ll go into the regional Thunder Chaser news in the coming hour…”
