The journal is dense and packed with detailed notes, scribbles, and drawings. It takes a solid hour to read through, and five minutes to skim. The cover is labeled Sara Gillard.

The Journal follows her discovery of the facility, poking around for days until she discovered the Mobius, which she changed into her personal laboratory. She diagrams out how she’s fixing the old engine in the ‘Copper Scaled Protector’, but she can’t test it without the proper key. She mentions having to slip by the Promethean and it’s ‘drive and purpose’. The Lizardfolk pose a serious threat to her work, able to sneak in and steal or damage her work. She lists her defenses on the Mobius, mentioning her time spent in study since her father and mother spend little time with her. Discoveries of merging Automail and magic, a beautiful amalgam of past and present knowledge. She has some notes about the oddity of this facility, Stahlwachian in design, yet filled with Noxian technology, seemingly run by Stahlwacht, yet this ship seemed to have been owned by another group of adventurers who surrendered it about 22 years ago. It’s a strange place that defies a simple explanation, and houses such wondrous technology. She mention’s Lynn’s Journal, saying it’s cryptic on the subject but clearly proves there’s something to be learned here. There’s mention of powering the ship, Sara believes she could get it flying if she can route enough arcane power to the ship, there’s a lever near the entrance to the Operating Theater, but the Promethean warned her against stealing it’s power, lest she fall from it’s grace. There’s an entry which was clearly written while she was going through a hard time, plenty of starts and stops, crossed out sentences. You’re able to piece together a Catfolk by the name of Lucas had gone missing from Trenton about three weeks back. Sara was clearly close to Lucas, refers to her as her closest friend, how Sara’s noble parents are doing nothing to help, and how she tried looking for her, but never got a hit on her Locate Object spell for Lucas’s pendant. There’s a sketch of what you assume is Lucas’s face, looks mostly human, with large round cat ears and spots from the forehead, around the eyes, and down to the cheeks. Her last entry is two weeks ago, and denotes the vanishing of citizens from the town of Trenton, and it’s not slavers this time, she hopes she can talk the Promethean out of hurting the people of Trenton. She writes, “I can’t help but be scared, the last time I spoke with the Promethean it referred to me as a Metal Seraphim for the Metal God. Fears aside, where I couldn’t help Lucas I must help these people. As a young noble I live to serve the people, who would I be if I do not do this? Nothing more than a spoiled cowardly child, with no determination and no soul. I’d be no worse than my milk sucking father, a slave to his innovation instead of a servant to his people. I should tighten security if I make it back.”
